Our goal is to make the PSW a profession of choice in the Health Care field and not just as a stepping stone.

Please note that this membership class is for holders of:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificates
  • Community Developmental Service Workers
  • Health Care Aides – Please email info@opswa.com with the subject “HCA Applicant Pre-Approval Request – Include Your Name Here” prior to applying as processing to determine eligibility. 

If you are a nurse and wish to join, please register as a Grandfathered Member.

If you do not possess any education related to front line health care, please apply as an associate member.

IMPORTANT: When you receive your email from BackCheck (Sterling Talent Solutions) you have ONE week to complete all steps of the online application. If you DO NOT complete the steps OPSWA will charge you an additional $75.00 to complete the application.

Are you paying for your membership in full?

Monthly Payment Terms (3-Month Term)

If you are a monthly payment member, your 2 remaining payments will be billed each month after your initial payment. Any missed payments will result in additional monthly payments after your 3-month term.

  1. If you miss a payment once, you will be charged an additional 4th monthly payment of $66 + HST.
  2. If you miss your 4th monthly payment, you will be charged an additional 5th monthly payment of $66 + HST.
  3. If you miss your 5th monthly payment, we will immediately revoke your membership AND liability insurance AND Backcheck, and you will still be required to pay the remaining balance owing.
