Candace Rennick, secretary treasurer of CUPE Ontario and a former PSW, said the long-term care system desperately needs a real staffing plan from the province.

Thirty students are now in virtual class at Willis College in Ottawa learning to be personal support workers, their tuition paid by the provincial government.
